Aircraft battery systems · capacity testing and inspection
Aircraft Battery Capacity Testing, Inspection & Service Limits
Understand the battery and the aircraft system around it. Study charging and load paths, set up three simulated capacity tests, evaluate results and plan inspections from stated source conditions. Includes a 30-page handbook, 10 guided cases and a 40-question final. Concorde RG/VRLA examples form the core, with Caravan and King Air context and focused chemistry comparisons.
What's included?
-
10 lessons + interactive system explorer
-
Online completion certificate
-
40-question final · 80% to pass
-
10 guided cases + 12 independent decisions
-
30-page handbook + 3 simulated battery tests
Understand the complete battery system
Trace stored energy through connections, switching, protection, loads and the return path. Follow the charging path back to the battery. Distinguish state of charge, capacity, starting performance and installed-circuit faults before deciding what a measurement proves.
Turn test evidence into a clear decision
Practise test-program selection, capacity calculations, calendar/hour inspection planning and maintenance records. Complete all lesson checks and guided cases, then pass the independent review at 80% with every critical decision correct. The final also requires 80%. Examples identify their reference editions; actual maintenance requires current applicable aircraft and battery instructions. Online completion does not replace supervised practical qualification.
