Predict, calculate and explain
Build loading records, calculate center of gravity, track fuel changes, and interpret takeoff, climb, cruise and landing performance. Study a 45-page handbook, explore 47 planning relationships, complete ten entered-calculation worksheets and twenty paired practice cases. A separate 40-question final requires 32 correct answers (80%). This ground-study course uses the identified May 2013 Grand Caravan EX PT6A-140/G1000 POH and matched checklist configuration. Training records and chart conditions are stated explicitly. Use current aircraft-specific records and controlled flight documents for actual planning.

What's included?

  • 5 focused planning modules
  • Course completion certificate
  • 40-question final · 80% passing score
  • 10 calculation worksheets · 20 paired cases
  • 45-page illustrated student handbook

Connect aircraft data to planning decisions

Follow the relationship from the actual aircraft loading record through weight, arm, moment and center of gravity. Track cargo movement and fuel use, select the matching performance chart conditions, and distinguish ground roll from total obstacle distance. Every case identifies the aircraft configuration, quantities, units and comparison to make.

Calculate before checking the explanation

Enter your numerical results in ten worksheets, then compare them with explained calculations and retry where needed. Twenty paired cases require a prediction and an explanation of the supplied result. Complete all 47 planning explorations, all ten worksheets and all twenty case explanations, then pass the independent final at 80% to earn the course completion certificate. This is pilot planning ground study; it does not confer operational qualification.
