CONNECT PRESSURE SOURCES, AIR-DATA PROCESSING AND DISPLAY EVIDENCE

ATA 34 • Caravan

TM-035 | Caravan Pitot-Static and Air-Data Diagnostics

Distributed architecture

Pitot and static plumbing, ADC inputs and display consumers

Measurement & comparison

Use instrument-specific bands and correct calibration identity

Diagnostic evidence

Separate source, processing, display and leakage evidence
208/208B plumbing and maintenance boundaries; G1000 GDC 74A and NXi GDC 72 architecture identified separately. The first calibration exercise explicitly uses the GDC 74A branch. Includes a 26-page handbook, six prediction exercises, eight diagnostic cases and a 40-question final.

What's included?

  • 8 focused lessons
  • Completion certificate
  • 40-question final
  • 8 guided fault cases
  • 26-page handbook

Understand the connected system

Trace pressure from the aircraft pitot and static sources through plumbing, drains, alternate static and the installed air-data computers to their display and warning consumers. Distinguish GDC 74A G1000 from GDC 72 NXi architecture, selected display sources and standby instruments. Explain how a shared pneumatic problem differs from a processing or display discrepancy.

Practise defensible fault isolation

Practise six prediction-and-Apply exercises, eight two-stage cases, instrument-specific test bands, net leakage calculations and twelve independent decisions. The first calibration exercise explicitly selects the GDC 74A branch. Complete the lab and pass a separate 40-question final at 80%. Study source: Cessna D2078 Model 208 Maintenance Manual, supplied Revision 42, 1 June 2024, ATA 34; individual task pages retain their printed dates. Current aircraft-effective instructions govern physical work. Online completion is separate from observed practical qualification.
