TRACE FUEL METERING AND ENGINE CONTROL SIGNALS
TM-046 | Grand Caravan EX Engine Fuel Metering & Diagnostic Testing
Connected fuel and control paths
Follow pump delivery, FCU metering, Ng feedback and P3/Py governing signals
Interpret specific test records
Distinguish duplex-nozzle spray quality, internal cross-leakage and external leaks
Explain cause and prove restoration
Connect each symptom to its physical route and the evidence needed after correction
Trace Grand Caravan EX fuel through the heater, pump, FCU, flow divider and fourteen duplex nozzles. Understand how mechanical Ng feedback, compressor-discharge P3 air and Py governing air influence fuel delivery. Follow shutdown-fuel recovery and distinguish actual metering faults from fuel-flow indication faults.
What's included?
-
8 focused lessons
-
Completion certificate
-
40-question final
-
8 guided fault cases
-
Illustrated student handbook
Understand the connected system
Learn how fuel conditioning, pump delivery, FCU demand and feedback, nozzle distribution and ecology recovery work together. Practice identifying designed pneumatic bleed outlets, interpreting a latched filter indicator, and separating nozzle spray defects from internal and external leakage. Each test record names the component, method and study criterion.
Practice defensible fault isolation
Complete eight lessons, six prediction-and-Apply exercises, eight two-stage cases and six fixed diagnostic records. All 24 lab requirements must be complete. The twelve-decision independent review requires at least 80% and all eight critical decisions correct in the same attempt. The separate forty-question final requires at least 32 correct answers. The online certificate requires the handbook, mastered lab and final pass; practical qualification is separate.
