TRACE MOTIVE PRESSURE, AIRFLOW AND VACUUM EVIDENCE
TM-051 | Caravan Pneumatic Supply & Vacuum-System Diagnostics
Understand the two air paths
Trace regulated bleed air to the ejector and separate filtered airflow through the installed vacuum instruments.
Localize the actual complaint
Separate pressure, suction, indication and warning faults using the named test setup and supplied evidence.
Prove restoration and service life
Compare complete pressure sweeps, vacuum checks, restored connections and independent hour or calendar limits.
Learn how the Caravan regulator, distribution plumbing, instrument ejector, inlet filter, relief valve, suction gage and low-vacuum warning work together. Investigate shared-source and local faults, distinguish the 17–20 PSIG installed sweep from the separate output-setting check, and interpret vacuum measurements in their named conditions. Scope: the installed systems and mixed vacuum/electric instrument arrangements identified in supplied Cessna D2078 Revision 42. These vacuum installations are not assumed fitted to every G1000/NXi or Grand Caravan EX.
What's included?
-
8 focused lessons
-
Completion certificate
-
40-question final
-
8 guided fault cases
-
Illustrated student handbook
Understand the connected system
Follow motive air and instrument airflow as separate paths meeting at the ejector. Explain why high pressure can coexist with low suction, why central and relief filters produce different symptoms, and why a dark warning lamp does not clear a measured low-vacuum condition. Work with actual source figures, named test conditions, filter life and complete restoration records.
Practice defensible fault isolation
Complete eight lessons, six prediction-and-Apply exercises, eight two-stage fault cases and six fixed diagnostic records with three entered calculations. The independent twelve-decision review requires at least 80% and all eight critical decisions correct in the same attempt. The separate 40-question final requires at least 32 correct answers. The online completion certificate requires the handbook, mastered lab and final pass; practical qualification is separate.
