TM-064 | King Air B300/B300C Surface Deicing & Diagnostics

Distributed architecture

Dual engine supply, wing and tail distribution, vacuum recovery

Required measurement bench

Compare identified SMR inflation, leakage and natural deflation

Diagnostic evidence

Distinguish wing CAS, tail indication and physical boot response
B300/B300C Fusion pneumatic wing and horizontal-tail deicing, dual-source relationships, pressure-switch/CAS logic and explicitly identified SMR component comparisons. Includes a 25-page handbook, six prediction exercises, eight diagnostic cases and a 40-question final.

What's included?

  • 8 focused lessons
  • Completion certificate
  • 40-question final
  • 8 guided fault cases
  • 25-page handbook

Understand the connected system

Follow both engine pneumatic sources through source isolation and common distribution to wing and horizontal-tail boots. Understand single-cycle and held manual control, distributor and ejector functions, and vacuum recovery. Connect the two wing pressure switches and independent tail indication with actual observed inflation and deflation.

Practise defensible fault isolation

Practise six prediction-and-Apply exercises, eight two-stage cases, the required SMR inflation/leak/natural-deflation bench and twelve independent decisions. Complete all 24 lab requirements and pass a separate 40-question final at 80%. Study source: supplied Beechcraft 434-590169-0009 B300/B300C Fusion Chapter 30, pages dated 1 May 2018. Component comparisons require the identified SMR boot and applicable task.
