TM-070 | King Air Doors, Latches & Warning Diagnostics

Connected door architecture

FL hooks and pins, FM camlocks, support devices and warning inputs

Required measurement bench

Interpret pin travel, engagement, locking torque and diameter wear

Evidence before adjustment

Separate physical security, seal supply, warning response and support
Understand how King Air door mechanisms carry loads, transmit handle movement, seal the pressure vessel and report latch conditions. Includes a 25-page handbook, eight lessons, six prediction exercises, eight two-stage cases and a 40-question final. Identify FL or FM architecture and the fitted warning kit before selecting the effective task.

What's included?

  • 8 focused lessons
  • Completion certificate
  • 40-question final
  • 8 guided fault cases
  • 25-page handbook

Understand the connected system

Trace the FL entrance-door hooks, pins, support cable and hydraulic damper. Explain pneumatic seal supply and pressure locking. Follow FM cargo-door cable drums, camlocks and lower pins, then distinguish kit-specific warning circuits, emergency-exit checks and mandatory life records.

Practice defensible fault isolation

Complete six prediction-and-Apply exercises, eight two-stage cases, a required latch-travel, engagement, torque and wear bench and twelve independent decisions. Complete all 24 lab requirements and pass the separate 40-question final at 80%. Based on supplied Beechcraft 130-590031-11 Chapter 52, effective-page list 1 November 2025; aircraft-effective tasks govern physical work.
