TRACE ENGINE INDICATIONS AND SENSOR FAULTS
TM-074 | King Air Engine Indications & Sensor Fault Isolation
Connected sensor-to-display paths
Pressure, temperature, speed and flow inputs through the installed indication chain
Required diagnostic records
Compare identified inputs, readings and equipment-specific criteria
Evidence before replacement
Distinguish engine conditions, sensing faults and downstream indication faults
Follow King Air B300/B300C engine indications from the physical sensor to the cockpit. This Rev A course connects a 38-page handbook with eight lesson checks, six prediction-and-Apply exercises and eight two-stage cases. Select the actual standalone or Pro Line 21 equipment before interpreting a fault.
What's included?
-
8 focused lessons
-
Completion certificate
-
40-question final
-
8 guided fault cases
-
38-page handbook
Understand the connected system
Connect ITT, N1, propeller RPM, torque and fuel flow to their distinct sources and receiving paths. Compare early/later standalone tasks with the named Pro Line 21 DCU/EDC arrangement, including source role and applicable display selection. Separate injected indication response from the disconnected physical sensor, wet flow, installation and engine-performance evidence. Six qualitative explorer views use stated assumptions, not universal wiring or transfer behavior. Supplied Chapter 77 with its November 1, 2025 effective-page list bounds the study; Fusion, detailed supplier work and current aircraft eligibility are not inferred.
Practice defensible fault isolation
Complete six required fixed records with twenty classifications and three calculations, then pass the 12-question independent review at 80% with all eight critical decisions correct in the same attempt. All eight lesson checks, six Apply exercises, eight two-stage cases and the fixed records are required before that review; the core lab records 24 requirements and retains distinct first, latest and passing records. Pass the separate 40-question final at 80%, at least 32 correct. The certificate requires the handbook, completed lab and passing final; it does not replace observed practical qualification or maintenance authorization.
