TRACE ATTITUDE, HEADING AND STANDBY DEPENDENCIES
TM-077 | King Air Pro Line 21 Attitude, Heading & Standby Diagnostics
Know the reference architecture
Connect the AHC, FDU and ECU roles with the independent GH-3100 standby system
Separate source from presentation
Interpret MAG/DG behavior, AHRS selection, display reversion and controlled comparator challenges
Prove the changed function
Compare calibration records, actual heading, retained configuration and distinct power or pressure checks
Understand how the Pro Line 21 primary attitude and heading channels work together, and how the GH-3100 standby system uses separate inertial, magnetic and pressure inputs. Explore why two agreeing screens may share one source, why a slew correction behaves differently in MAG and DG, and why a normal horizon does not prove compass accuracy or pressure integrity. Scope: the named B300/B300C AHC-3000/FDU-3000/ECU-3000 and GH-3100/MAG-3000A/PS-835D installation; Fusion is a separate configuration.
What's included?
-
8 focused lessons
-
Completion certificate
-
40-question final
-
8 guided fault cases
-
Illustrated student handbook
Understand the connected system
Follow the sensor-to-computer-to-display paths before interpreting a fault. Distinguish mode entry, calibration storage, restoration and final verification. Calculate heading error across north, use each instrument’s actual-heading criterion, and recognize the difference between an AHC secondary-power timing check and a standby battery-capacity result.
Practice defensible fault isolation
Complete eight lessons, six prediction-and-Apply exercises, eight two-stage fault cases and six fixed diagnostic records with three entered calculations. The independent twelve-decision review requires at least 80% and all eight critical decisions correct in the same attempt. The separate 40-question final requires at least 32 correct answers. The online completion certificate requires the handbook, mastered lab and final pass; practical qualification is separate.
