TRACE THE SOURCE. IDENTIFY THE TEST. READ THE WHOLE RESULT.
TM-079 | King Air Pro Line 21 Radar, Traffic & Terrain System Checks
Distinguish the source paths
Trace onboard radar returns, traffic, terrain warnings and IFIS graphical weather to the equipment that supplies each function.
Interpret the installation check
Compare radar-base measurements with the aircraft axes, then distinguish the separately prepared powered-faceplate and display-status checks.
Read the complete system response
Use the installed traffic and terrain test branches. Keep internal LRU results, external-input status, displayed weather and actual receipt evidence separate.
Understand the identified King Air Pro Line 21 radar, traffic, terrain and IFIS connections through practical check records. Learn why one working display function cannot clear another source path, and why a favorable partial result does not complete a different test phase. Study supplied Textron 130-590031-11 Chapters 31 and 34 with their named installed branches and printed task conditions. Current aircraft-effective instructions govern actual work.
What's included?
-
8 focused lessons
-
Completion certificate
-
40-question final
-
8 two-stage diagnostic cases
-
44-page illustrated handbook
Understand how the systems connect
Connect the RTA radar, AFD displays, installed Skywatch or TCAS II equipment, early MK VIII or later ACSS terrain branch, and optional IFIS weather source. Understand why LRU PASS may coexist with an external-input failure, and why a stored weather image does not prove current reception.
Practice interpreting real maintenance evidence
Complete eight lessons, six prediction-and-Apply exercises, eight two-stage cases and six fixed records with 20 interpretations and two installation-offset calculations. The 12-decision independent review requires at least 80% and all eight critical decisions correct in one attempt. Pass the separate 40-question final with at least 32 correct answers. Complete the handbook, mastered lab and final to claim the certificate. Supplier RF testing, practical qualification and aircraft release remain separate.
