TM-080 | King Air Pneumatic Supply & Vacuum-System Diagnostics

Understand the shared supply

Follow both engine feeds, check valves, the common tee, regulation and the consumers they serve.

Keep pressure and vacuum distinct

Interpret motive-air supply, ejector suction, filtered inlet air, gage references and the fitted instrument branch.

Make every test meaningful

Use qualified engine-power conditions, clean filters, secured adjustments and separate indication and leak proof.
Understand how the B300/B300C dual-engine pneumatic supply feeds common regulation and how motive air produces instrument-system suction. Investigate check-valve behavior, shutoff indication, fitting leaks, pressure regulation, vacuum filters and gage-reference paths. Distinguish the 18 psi operating setting from the separate 21 psi relief function, and the named vacuum-adjustment band from a general operating range. Scope follows supplied Textron Chapters 36/37 and the identified installed equipment; a conventional vacuum-instrument branch is not assumed fitted to every Pro Line 21 or Fusion aircraft.

What's included?

  • 8 focused lessons
  • Completion certificate
  • 40-question final
  • 8 guided fault cases
  • Illustrated student handbook

Understand the connected system

Trace the engine feeds to their common junction, then keep motive-air energy, induced airflow and gage P/V references separate. Learn why a favorable common-pressure observation does not prove both engine branches, why an OFF lamp does not establish OPEN leak integrity, and why filter replacement may require a fresh setting check. Study actual source figures and complete diagnostic records.

Practice defensible fault isolation

Complete eight lessons, six prediction-and-Apply exercises, eight two-stage fault cases and six fixed diagnostic records with two entered calculations. The independent twelve-decision review requires at least 80% and all eight critical decisions correct in the same attempt. The separate 40-question final requires at least 32 correct answers. The online completion certificate requires the handbook, mastered lab and final pass; practical qualification is separate.
